Set in its own grounds - of 7.5 acres - Littywood offers accommodation that only a house of this nature is able to provide. It is unique, it is the only double moated manor in the whole of Staffordshire and beyond.
Littywood Manor was the manorial home of the Baron of Stafford and is mentioned in the Doomsday book.
The Manor was fully thatched until 1950 and was originally a timber framed building which to this day is largely preserved and intact. Much of the timber frame is visible from the bedrooms.
A great deal of history surrounds this manor house and anyone interested should visit the local Stafford library to read and obtain the complete history.
